The Combined Magic Of Canadian Dividend Income Earnings, June 2022

Let’s be honest, I am getting myself into a lot of work which will continue monthly. However, I thought gathering all the info in one place about their dividend income should be an interesting project.

I hope I can inspire myself and others to continue their passive income journey as it gets challenging at times. The only criteria to be included in this post is to have a blog with regular monthly dividends’ earnings updates.

At the end of each monthly report, we will announce the top 3 monthly earners. I realize this is not a competition and that’s not the point of this announcement. It is just a way to make it more inspiring and encouraging to others. Yes, we can all eventually catch up with those numbers.

Some of our great friends didn’t post their June income or I couldn’t find the article or video to post here. I might have also missed some accounts which I apologize in advance.

In that case, please contact me via email, Twitter, or even better comment below so I can add you for the next month.

Let’s start by the total number. You guys earned $29,403.58 from dividends in June 2022.

Melissa @ Our Life Financial received a fantastic $2,898.07 in June 2022 which is a 57.17% YoY increase. She and her husband reached 50% of their $35,000 passive income goal of 2022. The largest payers were $ENB, $GWO, and $MFC which counted for ~ 56% of Melissa’s income.

Wonderful job, Melissa. Congratulations to you and your daughters for their great accomplishments.

GYM goal for 2022 was $25,000 in dividends and she is currently looking at a nice $25,756 forward annual dividend earnings. To put this in perspective, this translates to earning $12.38 per hour for a 40 hours a week full time job.

She doesn’t report her exact monthly numbers (or I can’t find them) but based on the total annual, her average is $2,146 monthly. Great job, GYM. Keep it up!

Another Loonie and his wife received a combined $890 in dividends mostly from $XDIV and $XDG. I love reading AL’s monthly expenses and investments loans updates. I love seeing the long bars in these charts. Bravo AL’s family.

Graham @ Reverse The Crush shows us how his June’s dividend grew from $93.81 in 2021 to $138.84 in 2022 and broke a new record. If a 48% YOY growth isn’t enough to inspire us, then I really don’t know what can help? The total dollar amount doesn’t matter. The consistency and year over year growth is what makes the big change in this journey.

84% of Graham’s income came from our great 3 dividend payers, Enbridge $ENB, Fortis $FTS, and Suncor $SU. I love seeing RTC’s monthly growth. Keep up the amazing work my friend.

Matthew @ All About Dividends breaks down his dividends earnings based on the accounts. It is so great to see what he puts in his RRSP, TFSA, and LIRA accounts. Compared to last June his income grew a whopping 48% as he received $954.58 in June 2022.

I am always amazed by Rob’s purchases which he shares on his blog. Great job on all the recent purchases taking advantage of the market’s correction. His 46 additional shares of $NA at $85.95 per share is already up more than 4%. Love your transparency and sharing. Thanks!

Dividendes & FNB earned $1105.27 from 14 stocks and 4 ETFs in June 2022. His 2022 goal of receiving $12,000 in dividends is 47.75% achieved.

I love how he shares the small details of his earnings every month consistently. He is actually making me feel guilty for not taking the time to share where I am earning my dividends which is what I’ll be doing from July 2022.

Thanks for the nice and detailed work and looking forward to seeing your 2022 achievement.

Fantastic month both financially and personal life, Jordan. I hope Holland is doing alright. That must have been stressing!

I love how she has this below table showing her expected passive income up until June 2023. She is looking at an average $307.50 per month in dividends.

      1. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! Hopefully, I’ll have time to keep this going. It is so cool for me personally to see them all in one place too.

  2. Great work tallying up everyone’s passive incomes. I think in a couple more years you will be making over $1,000 a month in dividends from just your own direct investments. 💪 I also like that interview with Mark and the Fire We Go Toronto couple. Lots of good information. 🙂
