⭕️1. When you arrive at the front of the border, there are two lanes. The left line is for cars and vans, the right lane is for trucks. Keep in mind that they take a break from 2pm until 3pm. When you enter you may have to show your passport to the men in uniform that are standing at the gate.

⭕️2. All the formalities take place under a big roof, so it was a bit difficult to draw it on the map, but I tried and drew the important buildings in red. First, you have to park your car somewhere under the roof, on the right side of the road. The left lane is again for cars and vans, the right lane outside of the roof is for trucks.

⭕️3. Walk to the little office, you have to give your passport to the guy through the window and he will stamp it for you. The window is on the side of the truck lane.

⭕️4. Drive a little bit further if you can, open your doors so the police can check your car with the dogs.

⭕️5. Walk into the big office building, there’s a small office room in there. Here you will need the little white card that you got when you entered Morocco.

⭕️6. When the police tells you that you can go, drive your car and park it here.

⭕️7. Go into the little white building.

⭕️8. Ready to leave the border! They check your passports one last time and you can go.

⭕️1. Enter through the open gate. We parked our car here in front of the building. A lot of people were trying to tell us that we have to exchange our money now (which is not true) or we have to get our visa now (also not true). We ignored everyone in uniform. Also told everyone that tried to help us that we don’t need a fixer.

⭕️2. We went into this building, the office in the second door on the right. They checked our passports and such.

⭕️3. We went into this building. Not sure what they did here.

⭕️4. We got in our car and drove to this point where men in uniform checked our car with a dog.

⭕️5. We drove our car to this checkpoint / entry of the douane. They checked our passports and we could drive further.

⭕️6. We parked our car here.

⭕️7. We went into this building, into the office on the left with the door that said ‘engagements’ above it. Here we got our car import permit for €10. It’s on an A4 paper. We also got a stamp in our passport for the car.

⭕️8. We drove a bit further and parked our car here. (I guess you can also walk this bit if you prefer)

⭕️9. We went into the police building, to the office on the left side that said ‘bureau de formalité’ above the door.

⭕️10. We went to this building. Here they took a photo of us and scanned our fingerprints. Here we also had to pay for our visa. I believe its €55 per person, but we only had Dirhams so we had to pay 650 dh per person.

⭕️11. We went back to the police office and here we got our visa. We also had to write down our whatsapp number a couple of times.

⭕️12. We got our car and had to stop here for the men in uniform. They checked the visa and car import and we could leave the douane.

⭕️13. We parked our car again and went into this building to buy the car insurance. You can also do it in the city I guess, but there’s quite a lot of checkpoints on the way there, so I would recommend to get it at the border. We paid 1016 ouguiya for 10 days.
